Blessed
Do you know the feeling of meeting someone who touches your life forever although you just talked for a second or just exchanged a glance? I want to tell you about a special encounter I had a couple of years ago. I’ve been a fan of Joss Whedon’s TV Shows like Buffy and Angel. If you have ever watched an Episode of his Show Angel you might remember the green demon called Lorne. In real life the actors name was Andy Hallett and he died in 2009. In 2002 I had the honor of meeting Andy at one of the Fan Events in Los Angeles. When he heard that I came all the way from Germany he asked my friends to make sure I stop by and tell him hi. I did what he said and made sure to look out for him. Andy was that kind of person that made you immediately feel like you were friends forever. He was so kind, joyful and had this big heart and bright soul. Over the years I got to meet him another couple of times while he was in London at Conventions. Andy had this awesome voice that caught your attention the moment he started to sing. He always appreciated his fans and hang out with them to party. Listening to Andy always put a smile on my lips. I couldn’t call Andy a friend of mine although he has always treated me like one. He was always the guy from next door. He had this talent to make me cry because I had to laugh so hard. I’d have loved to sing with him one time but I was always to shy to ask. However in 2005 I gave him my Demo CD. He promised to give it a listen. A couple of months later had a message on his website thanking his fans for all his birthday wishes and he wrote: Nic B. in Germany (I loved your CD by the way! It’s the bomb).
That of course made my day. It made me feel so strong about my music.
When I heard that Andy’s heart had failed on March 29, 2009 my world fell apart. How can someone with such a big heart and such an incredible soul be taken from us with such a young age? His death made me realize that life is really short. We should appreciate it and the people in it as long as we can. If we have a dream we should follow it. If we fail… well then we either try again or search for something new. I’m so thankful that Andy has touched my life. As sad as his death is and as much as it still hurts it also had something positive. I found a new friend… his mother Laurie. We have been emailing for quite some time now. She even called me on my birthday last month. If I could I’d bring her son back for her I’d do it. She is such an incredible and strong person. Now that her boys death anniversary is coming up it’s especially hard for her.
But knowing that we all still love and miss him and mourn him together with her gives her strength.
I’m working on a Song that’s called “I am okay” which is dedicated to Laurie & Andy. Hopefully it’s soon finished.
I feel so blessed for the memories I have about Andy and for his mother’s friendship. I kinda like to think that Andy is hanging out on his own star, sipping on a cocktail and just having fun and still feeling all the love he gets from us. And I’m sure he smiles.

Why do we have to get judged by others?
Since I grew up the only thing I always wanted to do was singing. Even when I’m sick and have a sore throat I just can’t shut my mouth. I love to write Song Lyrics and it has always been like therapy to me. My first Lyrics I actually wrote after my grandpa died when I was 13. Music has always been a huge part of my life. I know other peoples opinions shouldn’t really matter to me but let’s be honest… we all care. If people say something bad about us or criticize us, it hurts our feelings.
Last year I joined a Local Musical Talent Show. I won and was allowed to perform “On my own” at a Musical Night. It was fun and I hadn’t any stage fright. People loved my performance. It felt really good being on stage.
Last Friday I attended a Local Talent Show. It was one of these kinds of shows where you had a jury but also the audience had a vote. Never before I had such a stage fright. I was good and others were worse than me but I didn’t make it into the next round. My world didn’t fall apart or anything. But being criticized for just a small detail sucked.
That jury and the audience kinda took the fun out of performing.
I love music but right now I’m pondering the thought of never really performing again. I’ll keep writing Music and I will keep singing. Will I ever perform again? I don’t know. Maybe, but not in Contests. Music and performing is supposed to be fun.
However, I wonder why we always want to get acceptance? Why do we enter contests when we don’t like being judged? Why do people torture themselves when they go and audition for Shows like American Idol? Why do we allow other people to tell us what we can and what we can’t do?
We really shouldn’t listen to people that want to take the sky from us. If we have a dream we really should go for it.

Sometimes u just have to hold in to breath - Alternative Travel Project
There's also something else I want to tell you about. Being a Castle Fan I stumbled today over something Stana Katic and Seamus Dever called into life. It's the "Alternative Travel Project". They tried life in LA without using their cars and want everybody to join in on a car free day. Let's face it people... if you live in a City like New York, London, Los Angeles or Vancouver you dont need a car to get around. You can save our nature through taking public transportation or your bike once in a while. I live in the middle of nowhere and public transportation is like not existing here. Still instead of driving my car 260 km per day... I just drove it 12 km to the next train station to take the train. It didnt just save me money but it also helped our nature. So if you have the opportunity please use it and leave your car at home once in a while. You can find more information about their Project at http://www.stanakatic.com/atp I think their project is awesome and I will try to use my car less. As soon as summer comes I want to take my bike instead of my car. :D
And if you havent heard about Castle - shame on you! lol. Seriously, check it out. I swear you'll love it. It has some of the best acting and writing on TV. It's on ABC in USA and on Kabel 1 in Germany. :D
Please check out http://www.stanakatic.com/atp cuz it's so easy to do some small things. :D

Sometimes all you need to do is breathe
Yup, I know. I still suck at updating. But if you are also following me on Twitter (@nicbeh) you probably know all the important stuff anyways. ;)
So on March 18th I will be performing live at Bonnys Diner for the "Talent der Region" Contest. I bet it's going to be a lot of fun. :D
I've written a Song called "I am okay" and have my friend Jymm Thomas help me with the Music. I've written that song in memory of actor Andy Hallett and for his Mom Laurie Hallett. I have finished a rough demo of it but will wait until I have a great version before I show you guys.
I've also been working on a new book idea and will write a new Spec script soon. :D
I mentioned Jet Black before in my blog but she just released a couple of songs you can download. Just check them out. She's pretty awesome. I love her voice.
Im still wanting to attend the 9-month Acting Program in LA this year. Just need to figure out if I can afford it. But truth is it looks pretty okay for me. :D Wish I could start right away. But Im trying to finish my Abitur (A-Levels) first.
okay, that's it for now.

Still suck at updating
Hey Guys,
I'm stil in the editing progress of my book. Takes up a lot of time. But Im all excited for it to be ready and shipped around. Im also translating it back into German so that I can ship it around in Germany and all the English Countries. ;) I also have an idea for the follow-up book. ;) Just need to do some research first.
I'm thinking about it to attend a nine months acting program in LA next year. Just have to find out whether I can afford it or not. But that's something I would love to do. :)
Im trying to improve my crappy Guitar playing. lol. Someday I might even be a little good.
Oh and if you wanna listen to some cool Music check out Jet Black @ http://www.jetblackmusic.ca/ . She's an artist from Vancouver and a friend of a friend. ;) So go check her out. Im sure u'll like her.
I already have a bunch of new song ideas. Might try to find someone over twitter who can help me with the musical part. ;)
Since I luv Music I wanna talk a bit about my favorite band. My absolute favorite band is Paramore. I adore their lead singer Hayley Williams. If u wanna check them out do it. They are awesome. Hayley is featured on the B.O.B. Song "Airplanes". It's such an awesome song. Im loving it. If u get the Chance to see Paramore live take it. you wont regret it. ;)

All we know is falling
Wow, I really suck at updating, aren't I?
Life has been very busy lately. My job is pretty stressy and besides work there is all kinds of other stuff I have to do.
But I also did get to do some musical stuff. There was this casting for Musical Star 2010 in the town I was born in. I went, I sang and I won. Meaning I was allowed to perform "on my own" at a Musical Night in Wilhelmshaven. I loved being on stage. And everything went incredible well. A lot of people told me to keep going with the music because I have a great voice. That's incredible good to hear. So I'm looking into Musical Stuff right now.
I have have written a new song that is called "It's okay". I just need to find someone to help me with the music part. I do have a melody but I kinda suck with instruments. ;)
I also finished my first book. It's called "Light of Darkness" and I have my friend Patrice proof read it right now. It's a vampire story. lol.
Besides all of that I went to a movie audition and still wait to hear back from them.
So I guess that's it for about now. I promise I will try to blog more often.
Love, Nic
